SELEX Systems Integration Inc Model 3300 Radios Ready for Initial Operating Capability of Wide Area Multilateration System
SELEX Systems Integration Model 3300 radios are now contributing to the ITT Exelis Wide Area Multilateration (WAM) system implemented in Montrose, Colo for which the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has declared Initial Operating Capability. The FAA’s initial operating capability decision signifies that the WAM system meets contract and operational requirements in areas such as performance, reliability and maintainability. SELEX Systems Integration Model 3300 radios are key components of the Exelis WAM system, and are the only radios in the US national airspace system (NAS) qualified to perform both MLAT and Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) functions.

SELEX Systems Integration Inc to Produce Four Channel ADS-B Radio
SELEX Systems Integration Inc has been awarded a contract by ITT Exelis to develop a Four Channel Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) Radio. Under this award, an add-on to SELEX Inc’s existing ADS-B radio contract with ITT Exelis, SELEX Inc will develop, produce, test, qualify and deliver hardware and software enhancements necessary to extend the current Model 3300 design from dual to 4 channel transceiver operation. Intended for both ADS-B and multilateration (MLAT) applications, the Four Channel ADS-B Radio will provide increased capability to support aircraft operations, while conforming to the original Model 3300 baseline. These design enhancements will be performed at the SELEX Systems Integration Inc facility in Overland Park, Kas, USA.
